Custom Petroglyph Ceramic Tile
I photograph images of petroglyphs at southwest rock art sites and then carve detailed petroglyph replicas into ceramic tile for installation in your home or office. The samples of southwestern decor tiles shown here are selected for contrast between the color of the tile's outer glaze and the tile core material. The color of the image will be the same color as the interior of the tile, which is usually the same color as the back of the tile. Compare the front of one tile to the back of another, that is your contrast. Since there are thousands of different tiles available from hundreds of manufacturers, most of the tile I carve is purchased by the customer, sent to me for carving and then sent back to the customer. The tiles and images
show here are samples of what I can do. |

People who did not want to install petroglyph tile in their floor have sent me 'extras' of their tiles to carve with petroglyph images and return to them, so they would have rock art to hang on their wall that color matched the tile in their floor. |

Most of the tile I carve is purchased by the customer, sent to me for carving and then sent back to the customer. I do suggest tile used in flooring be placed in a low traffic location to prevent possible chipping of the carved image edges. All images are carved one at a time by the artist. The pictures show samples of typical final product. Product is custom made and usually ships in one - two weeks. I apply a coat of Miracle Tile & Grout Sealer on each tile. |
